Description

Found the frame in a pile of old bikes at a co-op. Probably a late 90s/early 2000s model. Upgraded the old caliber brakes to Tektro cyclocross cantilevers and upgraded brakes and paddle shifters to Shimano Tourney brifters. Also, bought a new leather saddle, replaced the tires, trued the wheels, added a rear pannier rack with some reflective tape, serviced the bottom bracket, and properly indexed and adjusted the front and rear derailers. The chain is still in good shape and is running on a 2 x 7 drivetrain which works well, despite the age gap between the cranks/cassette and the new brifters. It does occasionally acquire some simple adjustments. Previously, I rode it to work 4-5 days a week, and took it on a couple tours. Serviced it every two months during that time; however, I haven’t serviced it in about three years, as I’ve been riding a different bike.
