Walnut lacquer wedding cabinet makes a sumptuous wardrobe, linen cupboard, dining room hutch or TV cabinet. Housing removable shelves and two drawers; enabling plentiful storage. Traditionally the Chinese wedding cabinet was a Chinese girl's 'bottom drawer'. A wedding cabinet was filled over the years with oriental silks and linens, then presented to the groom on the eve of the wedding. The circular brass 'Togetherness Panel' with the sliding key, is a traditional Chinese design; symbolizing the joining of two halves for one love.
