Here is a terrific all-in-one micro stereo from Denon to power the speakers of your choice. The UD-M50 is a full-functioned FM-AM receiver putting out 30 watts per channel, with a built in 3 CD changer. It has inputs to attach other components of your choosing, as well as both analog and digital outputs in case you want to use additional amplification or make recordings. The analog pre-amp output can be switched to mono, allowing you to attach a powered subwoofer. The receiver has an onboard clock display and it can be programmed for timer functions. It has "source direct" signal path options for maximum purity of the audio and Denon's "Super Dynamic Bass" switch, for getting fuller sound at low volume levels. There's a front panel headphone jack for private listening. The display window becomes a mirrored surface when the unit is powered off, which is unusual and very cool. The sound is amazing, as one can expect from Denon, it will do full justice to high end speakers of all sizes. I've used it to power 3 sets of in-ceiling speakers in my home and it performed beautifully. I've also attached an inexpensive bluetooth receiver to one of the inputs, which allowed me to wirelessly stream music stored on my phone, or play CD's, or listen to FM stereo. This is an amazingly well-appointed micro music system and yet it is about the size of a shoe box. The system is remote capable, so you can add a unversal remote or easily find the original Denon control on that big Internet auction site (look for Denon part # RC-877). I am including a reprint of the 21 page Denon Owner's Manual. If you are looking for very high end sound quality in an ultra-compact form factor, this is a great find, and a wonderful value.
