I bought it from 2EZ autos on Maddison in November. I took it to a mechanic to get it checked out and it needs considerable repairs. Most urgently, it needs the cross member replaced. The sub frame is rusted considerably and should be replaced ASAP. The head gasket is also leaking causing the engine to overheat, and needs to be replaced as well. The dealership did not tell me about these issues, and I found out about them after the fact, and the dealership would not take the car back... I ended up buying another car, so I’m not going to pay for the repairs for this one. The forester runs and drives, and the all wheel drive is great, especially for winter. I like the car, and I would keep driving it if I didn’t have to sink so much money into it right off the bat. There’s 170,500 miles on it. I would not recommend not taking anywhere until the repairs are made.
