In fact this one that we have to offer is reminiscent of several that Earnest Hemingway had in his own private collection that are displayed at his Key West Home This early 20th century carved birthing chair is made of solid wood. Featuring carved handles on the upper chair rail and on the sides of the saddle style seat. A quatrefoil is carved into the chair's back and sadle ends. The chair seat is covered in worn brown leather with leather going up partway along the back and decorated with rounded nail heads Do note the leather is worn from use and there’s an additional steel bar on the underside of the chair for structural support that is not original.* Pickup in East Flag 7th Ave. and 4th St.
