Eilersen was founded in Denmark in 1895 and has a long history of constructing high-quality and luxurious sofas, with a focus on Scandinavian design. It’s a rare furniture brand to come across in the States. This ‘Playground’ comes in a beautifully rich and textured charcoal grey with four accompanying rear backrests that are all completely moveable to create just the right arrangement for your space, along with four accompanying 100% down pillows, for additional comfort. Often, ‘modern sofas’ may look good, but aren’t very comfortable to sit on. If you like a versatile seat that holds you in a solid yet comfortable way, without that ‘falling into the couch’ element, then this is for you. There are no brackets connecting the pieces, so you could also easily separate them and float them perpendicular to one another, with a table in the middle, or use them as daybeds as well. While advertised as normal/good wear, the set has been in the home of a working professional with no children, no pets, and a non-smoking space, so it has very rarely been used — and still has a ton of life left in it. If purchasing new, this set would cost well over $7,000 with s/h — and this particular fabric and color is no longer available to order.
