Description

Kustom K200B-5 4 Channel PA/Bass Head, 100w, white Tuck-N-Roll, USA, ¼” Out Specs: Kustom 200 4 channels: Channels 1 and 3 are fully functional. Channel 2 was faint and channel 4 was faint (scratchy pot) Knobs: Volume, Reverb, Bass, Treble Kustom Chanute Kansas Model: K200B5 Serial: 53916 Handmade in Chanute, Kansas, this powerful 1970’s Kustom K200B 5 4-Channel head brings a saturated 100 Watts of power to 4 independent 1/4" inputs, each with their own volume, reverb, and EQ. This Kustom K200B-5 4 Channel PA/Bass Head is a used item. There are some dings or marks on this item. Though there are some light outer marks on the tuck-n-roll, there is no major tears or seam issues. You will see some very light general wear showing from normal use, but nothing abusive. No electrical concerns though the plug has been converted to a 3 prong version. Generally quite good and in clean shape. Please note: Speaker columns are each missing one of the original CTS speakers. Parallel 1/4" speaker outputs 100W @ 8Ω -Power Output: 100 Watts -Controls: Volume, Reverb, Bass, Treble This K200B was billed as a 200-watt model, although a 100-watt RMS rating might have been more realistic; many solid-state amps of the day were advertised using their peak power rather than RMS power The K200B5 was marketed as the amp/mixer component in a P.A. system package. The head was sold with a tubular chrome stand and usually two speaker columns. Some variations were available in the speaker cabinet/columns, offering 12” and 15” configurations. In the late ‘60s this was THE P.A. to have; it not only sounded great but looked fantastic. With the reverb it’s also a surprisingly good sounding guitar amp (sorry no tremolo). Kustom is one of the most reliable amps ever. The original Kustom amps, produced by Ross Inc. of Chanute Kansas, came in a variety of colors including Red Sparkle, Blue Sparkle, Gold Sparkle, Cascade Sparkle (teal), Charcoal Sparkle (grey), Silver Sparkle (white), and Flat Black (which contained no glitter). Eventually the company branched out to produce organs, drums, microphones, and guitars. The company morphed and changed ownership over the years and continued to produce a variety of products.
