So, this monstrous thing (52lbs!) sold for a cool $4,000 back in 2008. To this day I believe it is the most powerful home theater amp ever sold. HDMI does not carry the audio, you match the video to the optical or coaxial inputs. It does have DTS and many other modern encodings, so if you're looking to absolutely embarrass another person's HT setup, this is for you! No remote, the top has scratched, but it's working and tested 100%.
