Mid Century Wharfedale W70E Speakers Solid Rosewood Recapped

Now at Delta Breeze Records 1715 10th St Sacramento 95811 These speakers were a true time capsule find. They were found in a storage unit where they sat for 50 years or so...  Wharfedale were some of the best high fidelity speakers in the 50s/60s and they're still around as a company today. They produced exemplary speakers in cabinets with unmatched quality. These W70s are the best example of mid century Wharfedale speakers in my opinion. They feature solid rosewood cabinets, sand filled backs and cloth grills. These particular 'E' submodels were at the top of the W70 line, with ornate hand carved molding. They are 3-way, with a 15" woofer, 5" midrange and purple soft dome "DoveDale" tweeter. Cabinets are blemish free, as are cloth grills and frames. These speakers are at their half life - They can easily last another 50+ years if taken care of. The woofers feature butyl rubber surrounds that will never need replacement.  I recapped the crossovers with audio grade caps made by Dayton. I used higher voltages and tolerances. I replaced one of the tweeters as it was not up to spec New dustcovers on both woofers replaced Tone adjustment pots on rear have been flushed and protected to ensure scratchiness-free use for years to come. I used Feed n Wax to polish the cabinets These are setup for audition and have a 30 day post-sale warranty  Thanks for looking
