Optional/recommended: Recommended: It does come with a DBrand Deluxe skin which retails for $65. The skin is the Sea Breeze, part of the artist Ali Abdaal’s collection Palettes. There are 5 hues of blue, complimenting the Midnight Blue of the MacBook itself. The darkest blue is the same color of the MacBook. This skin PROTECTS the aluminum while reducing smudges from fingerprints. The skins are extremely durable, and will REMOVE WITHOUT any residue. I would highly recommend using this skin if you like to go without a case. Recommended: On board, I have installed a battery charge limiter, Aldente Pro, which can help extend the battery life of the MacBook. I have been using it for 2 years now, and I have it set at 50%. When not at school, the MacBook Air is plugged into my monitor, so being constantly charged is not good for the battery, thus the 50%. I have found that I do not need any more battery, and have NEVER died due to low battery. 50% is long enough to get you through about 8-10 hours if you have low power mode on and are managing your power consumption. Optional: I have found that keeping the screen brightness at or below 50% is all I need for every day activities, indoors or outdoors (when weather is darker). I only use 100% in the sunlight. But there is no real image difference between 50% and 100% brightness. It is only adjusting the nitts, and at 100% brightness, blacks tend to become grayer. Just a slight caveat.
