Akai MPC 2500 Like New

For sale is a barely used Akai MPC 2500. The original user claims to have used it a few times and put it in the closet when he had to take a break from music. He set it back up and the pads were not working. I purchased the machine, prepared to replace the pad board. I usually work in steps so my technician did a full check on it. There was no evidence of a system board issue or any evidence of any electrical issues. The unit is clean, with the original packaging and plastic still on the screen. It had the original pad sensor in it from the factory. After consulting with Bruce Forat as I always do, he suggested we try changing the pad sensor to the new updated ones. The old pad sensors are known to go out for no reason in some units. This worked!! So what I have is basically a new Mpc 2500 with only a few hours of use (48-72 hours per the previous owner). This is the base model with memory expansion card added. It does not have the optical drive installed. The screen, pads, knobs, sliders, and audio circuits are all pristine. Many producers today, like Arab Music and others use the MPC 2500. It is capable of producing classic hip hop up to today’s pop, trap, drill and dance music. The Mpc 2500 has a warmer, more analog sound than the new generation MPC’s and many of the same features.
