Jeff Alexander is the innovator & licensed the patented design to Steve Lalanne. {url removed} {url removed} The Gemini is made for speed, and is basically the predecessor of the modern planing hull. Jeff’s designs of short length, elongating parallel rails, low rocker, and planing channels/control surfaces means these boards can handle much bigger than their size suggests. The concept is not rare nowadays, but Jeff was doing Gemini’s back in the 90s, long before any modern planing hulls... In my opinion there are no tomo boards without Jeff Alexander. Jeff is the OG that really sent board design into another trajectory implementing fluid dynamics from twin hull racing boats and surface control of wakeboards... but I digress.
