Description

Stunning original oil on canvas still life painting of an iris flower by well known artist James Carter. A single iris in full bloom is displayed in a voluptuous blue vase. Beautifully rendered, accurate, and detailed execution. Signed in lower right and dated 1990. Good condition, some minor scratches (see pics) but do not distract from the beauty of the piece. Measures approx 25.5x30” (overall frame dims). Some spotting and discoloration to the back. Fantastic thick wood frame with edges that curve inward- I’ve never see a frame like this before.
