Beautiful antique Chinese trunk from the late 19th century. Hand-painted red lacquer over leather with original metal hardware and a stamped maker’s mark inside. The box has a warm aged patina, craquelure, and traditional Chinese decorative motifs. Solid construction, opens and closes properly. Great as a decorative piece, storage chest, or collector’s item. Approx. size: • Length: ~16” • Width: ~9” • Height: ~12” Condition: Shows age-related wear, lacquer crackling, and surface marks typical for a true antique. No major structural damage. A rare and authentic 1800s Chinese lacquer trunk.
