Pieces marked Occupied Japan are highly collectible because they were only produced during that short post-WWII occupation period. Charming vintage Occupied Japan ceramic double dish featuring a honeycomb textured glaze with hand-painted bees/flies and a raised 3D bee finial in the center. Marked clearly on the base: Occupied Japan. • Era: 1945–1952 (Occupied Japan) • Design: Double oval dish with honeycomb pattern & applied bee handle • Material: Hand-painted ceramic/porcelain • Condition: Vintage condition with overall age-appropriate crazing in the glaze (see photos).
