Description

Overview: Up for sale is an incredible and interesting oil painting. This western-themed oil painting is a neat example of surrealism and abstraction in the western genre. It depicts a cow's skull at top over desert dunes, with two figures (who appear to be Native Americans) forming part of the landscape at bottom. The painting is not signed on front, but the name "C.M. Cunningham" is written in pen on the stretcher bars on verso. I would date this to approximately the 1960's or 1970's. Condition: Painting is in very good condition. Light wear/scuffing consistent with age. Frame has some mild to moderate scuffing. Measurements: Painting measures 20 inches high x 16 inches wide. Frame measures approximately 22 inches high x 18 inches wide.
