Sweet Yamaha synth with velocity and aftertouch sensitive keyboard and a unique hybrid FM and sample based synth engine. Each patch can consist of either 2 or 4 waves/tones, either 1 FM and 1 sample, or 2 FM’s and 2 samples. The joystick controller is used to either morph between the component tones, or detune them against each other. That is all independent of the pitch bend/mod wheels which do their usual thing, and the envelopes which can be programmed however you want. So you can morph the base patch how you like and modulate the results, or you can set your modulation and then play around with morphing and detuning with the joystick. Very unique synthesis method, and it’s super fun to play with. The aftertouch is another well implemented feature - you can assign aftertouch to pitch or volume, and you can set the amounts of each. I like to set it up tied to pitch, and set it at an octave, and the. You can basically modulate any notes you’re holding anywhere up to an octave up based on how hard you press the keys. Super fun! Anyhow, the synth is in excellent t shape and in full working order. Cool sounding and most of all unique synth! M
