Description

This vintage pottery water jug is handmade by the Tarahumara Native Tribe in Mexico. Tarahumara Indian pottery is a classic primitive style pottery. Located in the Sierra Madre mountains of northern Mexico their pottery is utilitarian and often primitive therefore they are not signed by the crafter. Created by the pinch and coil method without the use of a wheel and crudely strapped in dried goat sinew (rawhide) making each piece unique. There is a small chip near the opening and a white scuff mark ( see photos) otherwise this piece is in great condition. It’s approximately 9” inches tall and 8 1/2” inches wide. The opening is 3 1/4” inches. $75 or best offer CASH or VENMO ONLY
