This antique safe is awesome! It works perfectly, both the combination lock (with the original combo!) and the inner door (I have the keys as well) work like clocks. I have been using it for the last 5-6 years. Ive been told this safe is from the mid 1,800’s. Is was repainted by the owner before me, luckily they left the beautiful inner door art, which is original. This safe HEAVY! My guess is that it’s 1,000 pounds, maybe more. All four wheels work (wild, you never see that on these old ones!) so you can get it across perfectly flat pavement floors with just one person. The exterior of this lovely beast measures 22.5” wide, 32” tall, and 23 inches deep. The interior measures 18” tall, 14” wide, and 14” deep. It does appear that the wood and carpet interior is the original stuff. And way coo! The mini lock-box inside was cut at the pins of the hinges, so the door is just set there, I do have the key for that mini door’s lock though and the pins could be fixed. If you want this, you’ll have to deal with getting it out of my basement, which likely means hiring a mover to do that. Not a big deal in order to have your dream vintage safe!
