Zones 6-11, we’re 10a/b so this will be happy here in a pot for a few more years or put it in the ground. If allowed to grow to its full hight this is a truly stunning tree. The timber from this tree is also quite valuable as its name suggests it is similar to mahogany in looks and quality. This tree can also be an important part of your food forest, as a hardwood once it has gotten some size you can cut it back and it will vigorously send up new shoots from the stump. These shoots are edible and quite delicious with a taste resembling cooked onions.
