This is a gorgeous and rare example of the infamous 1978 Pioneer SX-980 Receiver. This beast cranks out 80 watts of stunningly clean power with a balanced and super detailed soundstage. Excellent textures on all instruments, super present mids for vocals and elegant tight bass for all genres of music. This was near the top of the line for Pioneer back in the day and these are an unbeatable combination of sound and style with impeccable build quiality This would be an excellent piece for a living room home theater and pairs well with mid century decor (as pictured, the credenza is also available, inquire if interested in a combo deal).
