The Hot Stepper Sock Monkey is an animated birthday plush from Walmart made by Gemmy Industries. It is a sock monkey wearing a birthday hat. When activated, the monkey shuffles forwards and backwards while singing “They Say It's Your Birthday”. This was purchased from an estate sale. It requires three AAA batteries to work. The battery compartment is clean and free of rust as shown in photos. It is tested and works great. It is preowned but in overall very good condition. The tushy tag has unfortunately been cut off as you can see in the one photo as well. The only blemish I see is on the back of his right arm where it meets his hand. There is a yellow spot which I have shown a close-up of. It actually feels sort of stiff like hardened glue, and it looks like the glue that the company used to glue the battery pack into the monkeys back (one of the photos. I took also shows the battery pack area with the yellow glue around it). It appears to me that it probably was done during manufacturing of the plush. Otherwise there are no other issues. This is an adorable and fun birthday gift. This is a harder to find animated plush. It is approximately 15 inches tall.
