DSC 3G3070 Cellular Alarm Communicator

This device is a DSC 3G3070-RF Universal Cellular Alarm Communicator manufactured by Digital Security Controls (DSC). Key Details & Function Primary Function: It connects a residential or commercial alarm system to cellular networks (HSPA/3G) to transmit security and fire alarm signals to a central monitoring station. How It Works: It acts as either a primary communicator or a backup communicator for traditional landline phone connections. If the landline fails or is cut, the device routes the alarm signal over cellular networks. Compatibility & Features: It is designed for standard security systems using the Contact ID transmission format and includes regulatory approvals (such as UL, ULC, and California State Fire Marshal listings) for fire and burglary signaling. Note: Because this unit relies on 3G cellular networks, which major telecom providers have phased out ("3G sunset"), it can no longer send signals over cellular networks unless upgraded to a modern 4G LTE or 5G communicator.
