Description

Vintage Japanese Genji Kabuto samurai warrior helmet display with its decorative storage box. Features substantial cast-metal construction with detailed armor texture, raised dragon designs on both side guards, bronze/copper-tone highlights, red accents, and traditional orange braided cords with tassels. Paper label on the box reads 美術工芸 源氏兜, referring to a Japanese decorative/art-craft Genji Kabuto. Approximate helmet measurements: 7" tall x 11–12" wide with side guards extended. Includes the patterned presentation/storage box and interior packing material shown in photos. This is a decorative collectible/display kabuto and is not being represented as an antique combat helmet. Condition Good pre-owned vintage condition. Shows age-related surface wear, patina, rubbing and finish loss consistent with display and storage. Orange tassels have some fraying and loose strands. Original box shows noticeable exterior wear, including paper loss/tearing on one side, edge wear and general storage wear. Interior packing material is present.
