Had this projector for about 11 years and it still projects a great image. I changed the light bulb in it about 5 years ago and there's always a message since that says "lamp is approaching the end of its rated life. Replacement suggested". I believe this message populates because it's not the manufacture original light bulb. Regardless, you can hit 'menu' and the message disappears and everything still works great. It is a little louder than it originally used to be and can make some funny noises that come and go, but it gets drown out by the surround sound and i don't even realize it during entertainment play.
