Description
Mykhaylo Barabash is a graphic artist and painter from Ukraine. Barabash had over a hundred regional, all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions. His graphic and painting compositions are included in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Canada, USA, Australia. Among the creative publications of the artist are a set of postcards and a graphic wall calendar dedicated to Lviv, a pictorial album "Ukraine is light, and pastel is dew", a collection of free-verse poems in graphic decoration "On Second Avenue", a book-album of linear sketches and verlibres " New York is on the line." Barabash has a spiritual need – to offer all good people colorful and golden moments of creative impulse. Immortalize on the canvas exactly this sunset in Manhattan. To show one of the most majestic cities in the world, its original capital - people, skyscrapers, museums, parks, bridges, lanterns, automobiles - seen with the eyes of the heart, perceived as a gift of capricious fate to the artist in exile. "Acrylic is not my only or main painting credo, but I grasp it with my senses - like dew on grass and flowers. Where there is dew, there is light!" Mykhaylo Barabash was born in 1952 in a picturesque village of Vidnyky, in the Lviv region, Ukraine. His place of birth has been one of the major inspirations for his art. He graduated from the graphics department of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv; taught at the Ivan Trush Lviv College of Decorative and Applied Arts. He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1999, he lives and works mainly in the USA.
