Description

Clean title‼️ An adorable vintage 1954 Travelux 16 foot aluminum trailer. This is the Canadian version of the Airstream. Very high quality. This has been gutted except for the bathroom. Most of the parts and pieces are inside of the trailer, so someone could refurbish it back to original or redo it in their style. The previous owner saved everything. The cushions appear to be re-upholstered and they are in excellent condition. 70's style for sure w zippers. The outside panel that is missing is supposedly inside the trailer but it's hard to see because all of the cabinets and everything are in there. He was careful removing everything. The dinette turns into a bed and the sofa pulls out to a bed. Some of the photos and the video show the inside prior to gutting. The floor needs work and the exterior of the body is really in excellent condition and please see the photo of the slight denting on the top right rear that could easily be pushed out. One of the side lights work, when it was plugged in and I'm sure other lights would work they just need bulbs. The previous owner said that there is a newer/but old axle and brakes, but I don't have any paperwork for that. I drove it several hours and it pulled fine. It takes a 2 5/16 ball and it cranks up and down. All the glass is present. I was told the door hardware is inside of the trailer. Super super rare find. Super rare size! The hitch area has a cute little fiberglass box for storage. Hitch is approx 3 feet long and the steel bumper is approximately another foot long. The roof looks great. The underbelly looks very good for his age and there are photos showing that. Thank you for looking! I got more information on these sent to me from a potential buyer: Hello, I wanted to provide you with some information on your trailer that may assist in your sale of it. Travelux is actually the Canadian version of the Avion - not the Airstream. This makes it an even better built trailer. The skin would be anodized hardened aluminum, so it’s not meant to be polished. We have 2 1965 Avions. The small fiberglass box in the front is actually a battery box. It takes a special tractor battery. The window type, anodized skin, and stove color and type date this trailer to be late 60’s to early 70’s. The 1954 owner’s manual shows a different window style that was typical of the early to late 50’s. It is not the correct owner’s manual for that particular trailer.
