It has elastic bands that go around the ears to hold the mask in place. With the huge shortage of disposable face masks, these handmade cotton face masks are the next best thing. I recommend washing after each use, by hand with warm soapy water flat to dry. Iron if needed on low setting. Masks are not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Masks are not recommended for people with breathing problems or while sleeping. Please note, that I am not a medical doctors, but have read that handmade cotton masks may help slow the spread of diseases. Filters are not included in the purchase of face masks.
