It is rated at 1500 pound capacity (there were 2-types made 850 lbs and the more expensive 1500 lbs), heavy duty pressure proof alloy steel tested at the point of strength, weight 65 lbs. These are the first bars Louie Simmons at Westside Barbell used with his Conjugate method. Unfortunately, they were notorious for having their padding come off after some use so everyone used duct tape back in the day. Not pretty but you are buying it for the bar not the pads . Comes with original DVD from Ralph (may he Rest In Peace.)
