Description
Selling a nice clean 2005 Scion XB (rebranded Toyota) a.k.a. The Toaster. It's a manual, lowered, with low profile tires - a very fun cornering machine! I bought this as a "temporary" car 2 years ago while completing the house reno and installing a charger circuit for the eventual EV purchase. Then I couldn't get myself to sell it! Super practical little truck that's zippy and fun to drive! It has a bulletproof 1.5L 4-cylinder Toyota engine (same as Toyota Yaris of later years), incredibly reliable and dependable. Previous owner done lots of important maintenance (attaching screenshot of his original post). During my ownership I did the following: - New tires: 205/40R-17 84W STRADA II, still on warranty from Snohomish Les Schwab (not sure if transferable) - New starter (~$400) - New clutch (~$1,600) - New battery (~$100) - Replaced door lock actuators on front doors (common issue on these vehicles) - The car came with damage on the rear hatch so replaced it myself with a hatch from pick-n-pull (best $35 ever spent lol) - Comes with fresh oil, new air and cabin filters, wipers, fluids, etc. Lots of maintenance records/receipts available from previous owners. Only 178k miles on the odo! Drives exceptionally well. These engines are known to last forever - just search for high mileage Scions/Toyotas with 1NZ-FE engine. Obviously no check engine lights or any codes. Known minor issues: - Windshield crack - it's way to the left and doesn't affect visibility so I never dealt with it. - AC system is leaking refrigerant and needs a recharge every summer. I just recharge it myself instead of fixing the leak ($20/year vs a few hundreds bucks at the shop). - Parking break needs adjusting (lever pulls higher than it should) - a quick DIY fix that I can't get to. Or maybe I finally will now that I'm selling it lol What you're getting: - Incredible gas saver! - Great for learning a stick! This manual transmission is quite forgiving thanks to tall gearing and it's very hard to stall this engine. The new clutch is however quite grippy and will take some getting used to. - Very nice cornering experience thanks to lowered suspension and aggressive tires. Do not take it off-roading lol - Awesome aggressive looking front! Bb rebadge, lowered bumper kit, great lights. - Funky looking rear! I liked the dark green so I picked it over original silver hatch at the pick-n-pull - IMO goes great with the car's style. - Clean interior without any rips, everything is original without stupid mods. I do not negotiate on price. Please do not contact me hoping to negotiate down - let's save each other's time. Meeting at the Snohomish Licensing (near McDaniel's Do It Center) Monday-Saturday during their working hours, depending on my availability. Will transfer ownership on the spot, no blank bills of sale. Cash only - no checks, paypal, or wire transfers. Please know how to drive a manual if you'd like to test drive. Thanks!
