I am selling this Sony Trinitron KV-27FS13 CRT TV that has been RGB SCART Modded to get the sharpest and clearest picture possible out of this TV. It offers a better picture quality than the stock Component video signal on this TV. I carefully performed this modification and I tested this mod for about a month and everything works perfectly. This mod has a switch in the front where you can easily turn the mod off or on. The switch takes account the positioning of the screen, so you will not get an off center screen when the RGB is turned on. I even positioned the yolk and added new adhesive to the rubber wedges that go into the yolk. On top of that, I used convergence strips to fix up some of the corners. However, keep in mind that this is an FD Trinitron from 2001 and early FD Trinitrons have noticeably bad geometry, so the geometry that I was able to touch up on is not perfect by any means. But it does look much better than it did when I first bought this TV unmodded. You will need to use a dummy red plug so you can get stereo sound out of the SCART connector. This is a side effect from a feature that these TVs have and I didn’t want to disable it. Message me for any questions. Thanks for looking.
