Description
2x12 40 watt 2 channels (Normal and Vibrato) both with "bright" switch Original Fender reverb tank and footswitch Removable casters for easy transport A fantastic piece of vintage amplifier history and sought after for its clean, warm, articulate tone, lush reverb, and classic Fender tremolo. The date code on the tube chart reads "QG," confirming its 1967 production year, and means that Fender had already been sold to CBS, but was still utilizing the same circuitry and parts as previous. This Pro Reverb is in very good original condition. As expected with an amplifier of this vintage, it exhibits some minor cosmetic imperfections, which only adds to its vintage character and tells the story of its long life. I purchased it in 1975 at the local music store in my original home town of Brooklyn, NY and drove it to Seattle in 1988. I believe I am the second owner. In 50 years, it has been out rehearsing and gigging just a handful of times. The amp has been well cared for and has spent it's life in a home environment with minimal use, primarily due to me opting for a smaller practice amp. This means the components haven't been overly stressed. It is a workhorse that wants to be gigged! Comprehensive inspection and maintenance was performed two years ago by long time local expert T. Warren, who was the vintage tube amp whisperer/screamer at The Trading Musician. One of the two speakers is original and the second has no markings that I can see, but when I originally purchased it, I remember the sales/tech person saying "probably Jensen". Ballard
