Description
We have decided to part ways with our beloved Arctic Fox 1140 slide-in truck camper. This is the premier name in truck campers and this one has been well cared for during its life. As you can see we have stored it under cover and we are the second owner. The 1140 offers more storage than any other floor plan offered. We are a family of 6 and we have had more than enough storage for 2 week + long trips. The whole right side is a slide that makes for a very spacious living space. On the slideout is the large dinnette easily seats 4 adults. It has an outdoor shower that is perfect when camping at the beach. In the unit is a spacious wet bath. I'm 6'-2" and have no issues taking a shower standing up. Arctic Fox is known for building 4 season units and this is no exception. We have camped at ski resorts when the temperature has dipped below zero and the unit has stayed snug and warm. It also has a/c for those hot summer nights in Eastern Washington. The rear awning helps shade the rig in the summer too. It is fully self-contained with a large 3-way fridge, a stove with oven, a microwave and includes an on-board generator made by Onan. It has twin 7.5 gal propane tanks that last a long time with how economical this unit is on fuel. It also has a gas connection at the back of the unit for connecting a grill or outdoor stove. The batteries are on a slide-out tray that makes maintenance a breeze. There is lots of storage both inside and out. Accessible from the outside is a large storage cabinet that I believe is large enough for a set of golf clubs. With 4 boys in our family I haven't had time for that. We used it for camp chairs, kites and other bulky items. Up in the cabover section there are 3 large wardrobe cabinets around the queen size bed. It also has a TV that is connected to the sound system. The electric jacks make loading, unloading and leveling a breeze. It was so easy that oftentimes we would unload it at our campsite and put it on a collapsible platform that I built so we could drive our vehicle around without taking the "house" with us. We have loved this camper it perfect to camp if you have a boat like we do because you can tow the boat still. This is a pretty heavy camper so bring your 1-ton.
