The heater is mounted underneath. I have the steam unit and it is brand new still in the box. The heater has a transferable asurion warranty with 24 months left on it. It just plugs in the wall no need to hire an electrician. It is designed for your head to stick out the top but I'm 5'9 and I fit inside of it. This gets incredibly hot! Over 200 degrees on high. Sauna blankets and sauna tents do no not compare to this! With the heater and tax this is worth over 6k! 2200.00 I cant stress enough this sauna is the real deal! I put a camping chair inside and sit on that.
