Description
We have an incredible 1962 Vintage Mid Century Stromberg-Carlson model SP-936MP tube amp console record player in excellent cosmetic condition and still plays! Beautiful piece throughout! This is called a Component Ensemble because you could add components to this console. An AM/FM tuner has all ready been added to it. This console has the tube amp and Collaro turntable made for Stromberg-Carlson units. This player drops the records and play but unfortunately, I do not know how it is suppose to work. It has a stacker spindle that I have been told works great so you can drop a stack on and play away. The only issue to mention is I believe one of the speakers may have a short but this can be repaired very easily. Measures 40" wide x 30" high x 19 1/2" deep. Interesting to note, the speakers are in boxes that are removable from the unit. They simply sit in holes made for them. The boxes add bass and the whole console has cut holes all over for the sound to come out of like a violin. They were certainly working on sound creation. Here is a great cosmetic condition 1962 Stromberg-Carlson tube amp phonograph for your home. This piece has been passed down through my family and we no longer have room for it. Thank you for looking!
