This professional quality tweeter utilizes a 1.75-inch titanium dome diaphragm and an enormous 14-ounce video-shielded magnet. Among tweeters designed for home loudspeakers, our RB-75 high-frequency driver is unrivaled for clarity, efficiency and power handling plus has the lowest possible levels of distortion. In order to increase sensitivity while minimizing room interactions that blur sonic detail, the tweeter is coupled to an exclusive Klipsch square 8-inch Tractrix® Horn, which lends the RB-75 its controlled directivity. The woofer on the RB-75 is an enhanced version of Klipsch’s distinctive, copper-colored Cerametallic™ material that is even stronger than before. This cone is made of an anodized aluminum that makes it extremely tough but does not take away from its elegance. The anodizing process converts its inner and outer surface to ceramic. The result is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate at frequencies within the woofer’s operating range. Driving this cone is a massive, video-shielded magnet and high-temperature, long-excursion voice coil, for high efficiency and deep, powerful, articulate bass without breakup or distortion. The RB-75 also has a front-firing, flared port that allows for easy placement in a cabinet or against a wall.
