Unique opportunity to own a piece of American history!!! I just did the official appraisal 1933 GIBSON L-00, FON NUMBER 701, VERY GOOD OVERAL CONDITION. ORIGINAL FINISH SHOWS A GOOD AMOUNT OF CHECKING AND BLEMISHES, BUT CONSISTENT WITH ITS AGE, WITH THE LOWER BOUT HAVING A GOOD AMOUNT OF MORE SIGNIFICANT DEEP FINISH SCRATCHING AND WEAR AND ONE SMALL CRACK ON THE TOP OF THE INSTRUMENT. TI IS APPARENT THAT THERE HAS BEEN A NECK SET PERFORMED IN THE PAST WITH SOME SLIGHT DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE HEEL. THE BRDIGE HAS BEN RESET AS WEL AND THE BRIDGE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SHAVED DOWN SOME FROM ORIGINAL. TUNERS ARE ORIGINAL WAVERLY OPEN BACK AND ARE NI VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL "TIGER STRIPE" PICKGUARD SI PRESENT AND NI VERY GOOD CONDITION. FRETS ARE NI VERY GOOD CONDITION WITHOUT PITTING OR WEAR AND ARE ASSUMED TO HAVE BEEN DRESSED. NON ORIGINAL MODERN HARD SHELL CASE.
