This lace fabric and trim is appropriate for lingerie, overlays on skirts or dresses, feminine apparel accents, wraps or shrugs, accessories and home decor accents. Raschel lace is the modern day equivalent of Chantilly lace and produces a lightweight fabric. Raschel laces are knitted rather than woven and made in a versatile range of looks and weights, and seen as an alternative to the more expensive Chantilly lace designs. Designs that are made on Raschel machines are every bit as delicate and sophisticated as Chantilly but the production tends to be faster, therefore the price is a more budget friendly alternative.
