1986 Yamaha FJ1200

Up for sale is my 1986 Yamaha fj1200. I've owned this bike for approx 20 years and it was my daily ride to work for that time. It is in very good shape. It has a stainless super trap exhasut system, K& N filter, new starter battery and the seat has been reupholsted. Tires are good shape. Under full throttle load the clutch does start to slip but under regular acceleration, no slipping. The paint is new and looks great. No dents. Bike has 38,000 mi. Runs excellent with no issues during the 18 yrs I've been riding it. The front forks show signs of slight seepage. Brakes are metallic and stops hard. It has braided oil cooler lines. Trans shifts with no problems. Highly dependable bike with lots of power, probably more than stock due to exhaust and carb jetting. As of a few days ago the tachometer has stopped working. This bike is 38 yrs. old and I can't say I've ever seen another 1986 on the road. Come see if interested. Tags are good til March of 2025.
