Description
Thank you for checking out my listing! In all honesty, I actually do not want to sell this item, but times are just a little tough for my wife and I right now- I’m also trying to raise money for gear and supplies so I can take a motorcycle trip to Alaska. About the item: This is a Fender SuperSonic 22w tube amp— first produced hitting the line in 2010. It’s a 22-watt, hence the name “22w”, with a 2-channel combo and 12inch speaker. I’ve been playing guitar for over a decade now, and have owned several different amps, both tube and solid-states. Of those many amps, I’ve owned quite a few Fenders. When I initially got this amp, I had actually steered away from Fender amps because they just weren’t the sound I was looking for. After owning a couple of Fender solid states, and even a Fender Hot Rod III tube amp before this one-I just wasn’t a fan of them. They weren’t the sound I was looking for. Until this one. I went in looking for a Mesa Boogie tube, but unfortunately they were all sold out- BUT they said “Hey, so you’re looking for a Mesa type sound, right?” Of course, I said “Yes.” And they pointed me over to this one. I was like “Eh, I don’t want another Fender.” Once I played it, I changed my mind. This amp plays and sounds like no other Fender amp I’ve ever heard or seen before- Fender should be proud of this one. With it only being 22w, this thing is a beast. This amp will absolutely keep up with a drummer and is stage qualified. This is absolutely a gigging amp with warm, rich cleans, and decent enough head room- but that was no surprise. What surprised me and sold me on the amp was the powerful, quality, window breaking overdrive, and its genuine, non-cheesy sounding built-in distortion. This amp, it being a Fender, is very pedal friendly. Very versatile— fantastic for studio recording. It’s an all around solid amp, that at one point, I intended to never sell. But, here we are. It’s been well taken care of. Never smoked around, never dropped, and never dialed up volume to the max. Tubes have always been warmed up on stand-by first before played on. The upgraded Celestion Speaker also woke the amp up a lot, and really brought it to life. If you’re interested in checking out the amp and seeing how it sounds for yourself- I guarantee you’ll be both impressed and eager to take it home. All I ask is that you take care of it. Brand new, off the line, this amp runs for $1,700. Very open to negotiation. Throw me an offer. $900 OBO. Thanks for viewing. -Ashton
