Description

2009 Aprila Mana 850 (automatic) 50K plus miles. There are a few known issues with this bike. It will need a new battery ($100) as there is not one in it now. The bike has over 50K mikes on it, I can not give you the exact number as there is no battery. A few years ago the water pump went and the way the bike was designed you would have to split the entire engine to get to it. I was able to wire a car water pump in it’s place and run the power for it from the front like. Meaning that if the bike is on, so is the water pump. Please keep in mind that this pump may need to be replaced. A pump this size sells for around $100. As it has been sitting I would recommend changing the sprockets and chains (roughly $300). Or you can try to get the rust off, that is up to you. This bike is automatic, there is a Kevlar drive belt that needs to be replaced and the computer needs to be reset. This is the main reason I have not fixed the bike. The cost of the belt and reset is around $400. The problem is that the only place I know of that can do it is at the Aprila dealership. The closest one is in Savanah GA. It will run now but that belt is on the verge of not working. It also is set to rain mode because the bike needs to be reset once the belt has been changed. Changing it is not difficult, it’s the computer reset part that is. Bike comes with a Givi case that can fit 2 helmets and is removable. It has been painted in red with PlastiDip so the red portion can be removed. Also needs a good cleaning. This bike retails for around $3k. You are looking to invest an additional $900 (less if you do not do the chains and sprockets), plus hauling it out to Savanah for the work. There is also a dealership in Murfreesboro TN but I do not know if that have the machine needed to reset the belt drive. I know Savanah does and have called them. They would order the belt and then schedule the appointment with you. It’s a project bike for sure. Also needs a good...
