Allen MDC-31 Theatre organ -- a 2 manual instrument with AGO pedalboard. It was custom-built circa 1979, and I am the second owner. It is a great instrument for a beginning organist or someone who needs a practice organ at home. All stops, notes, pedals, and switches are fully functional. This is a relatively compact organ, with everything self-contained -- no external speakers, just enough cabinet to contain everything, etc. Allen makes absolutely bulletproof cabinets and hardware -- these organs are truly built to last a lifetime. Rose City Organ Builders in Portland is our local Allen dealer and service center, and can be contacted for factory service / support. In full transparency, the organ has one significant issue -- the audio has some crackles and static that are somewhat intermittent and vary in volume. I suspect this is due to age of the capacitors in the amplifiers, and should be able to be something that an audio electronics technician could easily repair. I have been able to live with it for the purposes of practice. In the event that you simply cannot, reach out to Rose City for assistance. If you are handy, you may be able to simply remove the amplifiers from the unit (the top opens and the back and front panels are removable, and take them to an audio repair shop for refurbishing. Organ specifications: The organ is 100% American Walnut, with an illuminated, horseshoe-shaped stoprail. The keyboards are each 61 notes. It features dual 40-watt amplifiers with 8 internal speakers, and has a 1/4" headphone jack for QUIET practice. There are 8 configurable pistons for each keyboard, with a red LED digital read-out for selected stops. Vibrato, Reeds F, Reverb, Presence Projector The organ console dimensions are: Width: 52 1/2", Height: 44 1/2", Depth: 29 3/4", Depth with Pedalboard: 50". The pedalboard is detachable from the organ console. The organ is capable of 12-note polyphony. The organ weight is approximately 300 pounds. In addition to the more traditional stops, it is a theatre-style organ has has additional stops, a rhythm generator, etc.
