1978 Ranger 24" Sailboat $1000

Selling a 1978 24" Ranger Sailboat *AS-IS* for $1000 CASH OBO This boat has been moored near Gasworks park on Lake Union for the last 5 years since I took ownership of it, and I unfortunately no longer have the time to invest in upkeep, mooring and use of it.  The boat is in fairly good condition, and has sat in its slip the last 5 years outside of few trips on the lake. While the boat does currently need some maintenance/repairs, I wouldn't call it an outright "project" vessel. I am confident a seasoned sailor or marine mechanic could enjoy it in little to no time. Maintenance required of note: -Broken tiller handle - this will need to be replaced; Can be seen in 1st picture on this post. -Worn/weathered running rigging - some of these lines/rope may require replacement -Outboard engine maintenance or replacement - Comes with a 5HP outboard Yamaha motor used to get in and out of the slip. Has not been started in quite some time. -Crack in Portside Portlight - Should be replaced to eliminate any risk of moisture, but does not leak. Lastly, the slip at which this boat is currently moored is leased through a private owner on a monthly basis. While buyer has the option to take over payments at existing slip for an obscenely cheap rate ($200/mo), there are some stipulations introduced by the slip owner that you as the buyer may want to consider.
