A solid wood vintage Chippendale-style secretary bookcase manufactured in the USA. John M Smyth company in Chicago. The secretary is designed with a broken arch pediment with a finial on top. The display cabinet, above the desk, includes 2 shelves behind single glass pane fretwork doors. The slant front desk when opened reveals multiple drawers and compartments. Below the writing surface are 4 drawers for additional storage. The locks on both the upper cabinet part and the desk are functional, and there is a key. It is one piece with no separation. DIMENSIONS w 30 d16.25 h79 It needs work. It is structurally sound, but it needs surface work. The locks on both the upper part and on the slant desk drop down work and I have the key.
