Ultra-Rare Taylor DDAE Short Scale (solid woods same as 614 CE) Aloha: Up for my sale is my ultra-rare and legendary Taylor Doyle Dykes Anniversary Edition LTD (DDAE) Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar with Deluxe Taylor Hardshell Case! This extremely limited run, all solid wood guitar sounds wonderful and was recently professionally set up by a local Taylor Dealer with super low action and Elixir strings so it is very easy to play (professional Taylor NT neck reset and setup receipt will be provided). The guitar is in excellent condition and has been stored in a smoke/pet-free, humidity-controlled environment. There are no cracks, major dings, dents, or even major scratches on the guitar (slight pick swirls); even the finish is in excellent condition around the entire guitar! Also, with its very slim carved, low-profile neck and short scale, coupled with its comfortable grand auditorium body size and cutaway, this is a great guitar for people who want something extremely easy to play! This particular model also has a slightly thinner body than a standard GA, so it’s more comfortable to hold, especially for longer sessions. I personally prefer the short-scale neck versus the standard scale since it’s easier to chord/stretch (short scale and slim carve neck upgrades on Taylor Guitars are generally limited to custom order options only, are extremely expensive add-ons, and it often takes months for Taylor to build a custom guitar). Please note the following: 1) This DDAE is in excellent overall condition and has been carefully stored in a smoke/pet-free, humidity-controlled environment (I am the second owner of this rare guitar and have owned it for over 10 years); the enclosed pictures were just taken on 07/04/2023. 2) This anniversary edition model, which celebrates Doyle Dykes himself, was a very limited run Taylor Guitars did only for 2005. In my opinion, these are the easiest Taylors to play due to the customizations Taylor made for this DDAE model based upon Doyle Dyke’s finger-style playing. 3) The special LR Baggs Hex pickup system works perfectly. The neck is extremely straight (no buzzing, even with low action), frets are in great condition, tuning pegs hold tune perfectly, and the guitar shows only minimal signs of use. Additionally, due to the wood shortage and continued supply chain issues, higher-end guitars are becoming rarer and even more expensive. This is a great opportunity to purchase a high-quality and rare Taylor Guitar (from a limited run) and save thousands of dollars.
