Excellent Vintage Pioneer SX-780 Stereo Receiver with warm, clear, detailed vintage sound. Nice cosmetic appearance. It is clean as shown in the pictures. Restorations/upgrades: 1. Power supply restored - capacitors and the 3 transistors (known to cause most of the power issues due to the years of heating up) and 8 diodes were replaced. 2. The 2 Main filter caps are upgraded to higher UF/voltage for better bass/low end response, & audio path and all other capacitors replaced with high quality audio grade Nichicon & WIMA caps (audio path is high quality self healing WIMA film caps) 3. Replaced 2 power amp chips (STK packs) with the best in the market (Pyramid audio PCBs with discreet components that exceed original performance specs) 4. Replaced all incandescent lamps to LEDs, 5. Cleaned all the buttons and switches with the appropriate DeoxIT F5 fader lube. 6. DC offset/balance adjusted and new power cord installed. Meters, lights, controls, AM, FM, AUX & phono stage tested and working well.
