Description
The 1908 Barber Dime, officially the Liberty Head dime, was a common coin from the period designed by Charles E. Barber and minted at Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, and New Orleans. While Philadelphia produced a high mintage, the 1908-O (New Orleans) is considered the scarcest of the year's issues. These 90% silver dimes feature a bust of Liberty on the obverse and a wreath on the reverse, and production of the series ended in 1916.
