Description

Set of four antique dining chairs produced by Heywood Bros. & Wakefield Co., one of America’s premier furniture makers. Each chair retains its original San Francisco showroom label and features a solid beech frame, pressed cane seat, and a decoratively carved crest rail in the Colonial Revival style. Built in Gardner, Massachusetts between 1915 and 1920 and distributed through Heywood-Wakefield’s San Francisco branch. All joints are sturdy, the cane seats are in good shape, and the finish shows minor age-appropriate wear. These chairs complement Arts & Crafts and early 20th-century interiors beautifully.
