1ST MOONSHINE GOLD MODEL TO BE RELEASED IN THE U.S.! This Mission to the Moon has a seconds hand made of OMEGA’s Moonshine™ Gold. Inspired by the shining moonlight in a dark blue sky, OMEGA’s Moonshine™ Gold was created in 2019 and is an exclusive yellow gold alloy. As stated in the certificate that comes with the watch, this special seconds hand is produced exclusively once a month during full moon dates, which are known to have a magical influence on many things, humans included. This Mission to the Moon was available for purchase for the first time during the full moon of March 7th in London, Milan, Tokyo, and Zurich, and later in a second release during the full moon of April 6th in Shanghai, Berlin, Madrid, New York, Hong Kong, Macao, Geneva, Rome, Manchester, Yokahama, Sydney, Toronto, Naucalpan de Juárez, and Seoul. This watch is in its original condition as purchased from the Swatch authorized retailer in New York City, which is the only US city to debut this wonderful piece, and is different from the European release. As it turns out, the difference is on the chronograph seconds hand. Almost imperceptible to the naked eye is a small number “3,” which is a reference to the full moon, making this the Special “3” Edition. This model was sold for one day only! Price is firm.
