Doe and Fawn Planter by Shawnee Pottery - Vintage Deer Planter - Circa 1930s - Vintage Ceramic Planter • Circa 1930s • Measures 6-1/2”H x 7"W x 4-1/2"D • The planter space measures approx. 6" long x 3/4" wide and 3/4" tall; perfect for succulents • Marked Shawnee, U.S.A. on underside • Very good vintage condition; no chips or cracks; however, there are a few minor imperfections Shawnee pottery originated in 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio, when "Buy American" campaigns were popular. Shawnee designed a popular line of dinnerware items, cookie jars, planters, creamers and salt and pepper shakers. In 1961, the Shawnee Pottery Company closed its doors due to overseas competition.
